Real-time Least Cost Routing (LCR) technology is a requirement for modern communications companies.  Historically, carriers would build and load a static routing file for every possible routing scenario.  Each time a rate change was received, these static routing files would have to be modified manually.  This process was administratively cumbersome and often left gaps in routing and limited carrier options.  Modern LCR technology creates a dynamic route list for every call, automatically.  Today, carriers load every vendor and their associated routing codes and rates into a single database.  The system will query the database in real-time on every call and compile a prioritized list of vendors for each call.

The newest RouteTrust LCR platform is fifth generation technology and offers the next level vendor management capability. Custom ‘drag and drop’ rate loading capability is only available with the RouteTrust system.  Through this type of automation, RouteTrust LCR customers have the ability to include hundreds of vendors in the system with minimal administrative burden.  RouteTrust enables our  customers the ability to create custom quality categories, and independently manage customer and vendor relationships more effectively.   By defining a customer as having high, medium, low service quality requirements (up to 9 categories can be created), vendors can be added or removed using the category definition tools.  This unique management methodology enables our customers to include more vendor options without having to add administrative burden.
