Call Routing
Choose the best carrier for each call based on your rules for cost, call quality, customer requirements, and time of day. Pathfinder helps you protect margins, control unwanted traffic, and test routing changes before they go live. Keep your carriers and your switch while making better routing decisions.
Routing rules live in the switch, rates arrive from carriers, and customer terms sit somewhere else. Keeping them aligned takes work. The cheapest route is not always the right one, and the right choice can change by provider, customer, or time of day.
Apply your customer rules to balance cost, call quality, and margin. Deliver routing instructions through supported file or SIP connections.
Pathfinder supplies ranked alternate carriers for your switch to try when the first route does not complete. Your switch performs the retry.
Use your own Do-Not-Originate, Do-Not-Call, and custom lists to block calls in the routing path. Use available caller-verification results (STIR/SHAKEN attestation) in routing decisions.
Set routing criteria for the traffic you handle. For inbound peering, use originating-provider criteria or look up outside data, such as the responsible organization for a toll-free number (RespOrg) or a carrier's operating company number (OCN).
Use the call simulator to see which carriers a call would use under a proposed rule set. Compare the routing choices before applying the change to live traffic.
Bring your own carrier. RouteTrust does not resell numbers, minutes, or carrier service, and each function can be licensed on its own.
The connection to your switch determines how routing instructions are delivered. File-based output must be loaded into the switch; real-time SIP redirect requires a switch configured to request and use the routing response. We work through the connection, data sources, and rule scope for your deployment.
Carrier Connect and RT/VUE are available separately for number management and call-record analysis. Start with the function you need today.
Routing intelligence for the network you already have
A routing engine that applies customer-defined rules through supported switch connections. Pathfinder can operate in real time as a SIP 3xx redirect service, where your switch sends an INVITE and Pathfinder responds with routing instructions, or it can generate routing output that is loaded into your switch.
Least-cost routing, as one input to the decision · part of Pathfinder
Cost is one input to Pathfinder's decision, not the whole decision. RT/LCR is the wholesale and enterprise termination component: jurisdictional routing, quality-based vendor selection, scenario and tag matching, time-of-day schedules, origination-number translation, and drag-and-drop rate imports with profit protection. It queries a live database on every call.
Toll-free routing built from your real traffic · part of Pathfinder
RT/LCO optimizes where toll-free traffic is routed; RT/800 manages the toll-free numbers themselves.
Toll-free routing templates have a strict limit on the number of rules, so the rules you choose matter. RT/LCO reads your carrier call records and rates and builds template options for each carrier code (CIC), ranking rules by their effect on total spend: small savings on heavy traffic beat large savings on thin traffic. Each option shows expected carrier usage and spend, so you can pick the one that balances savings against your contractual usage obligations, and load it automatically.
Wholesale softswitch
RouteTrust's own Class IV SIP platform for DID origination, toll-free origination, and global termination. It handles up to 2,000 calls per second per server, with geographic and data-center diversity, and includes real-time and historical call tracing and a tag-and-scenario routing engine for location-based routing and IVR-style decisions.
Customer rate decks built from your real costs
Builds customer-facing rate decks from your product definitions, margin rules, and current vendor rates (NANP and international). A rate simulator, heat map, and decision matrix let your pricing team tune aggressiveness, stickiness, and coverage before anything is published.
Call Routing
Routing decisions involve more than finding the lowest rate. Tell us about your network, carrier relationships, and the routing challenges you're trying to solve. We'll help you explore where Pathfinder can improve cost, quality, and operational control.
