We built the tools we wished we'd had

RouteTrust was founded in 2016 by Russell Bierschbach, who has spent nearly 30 years building software for telecom. Michael Rothchild, who has led operations and engineering teams at voice carriers since 2001, joined that September.

We built RouteTrust because the tools and workflows we had been using to run voice networks weren't adequate. Numbers had to be managed carrier by carrier. Routing and margin lived in different places. Answering even a simple question about call records too often required database access or technical expertise. So we built the tools we wished we'd had.

Our first toll-free product launched, and our first customer signed, in February 2017. Pathfinder is the fifth routing engine Russell has built, bringing nearly 30 years of routing architecture experience into the platform.

Experience that comes from doing the work

Voice operations rarely fit neatly into one system.

A carrier change can affect routing, billing, and customer service. A network migration can expose dependencies that aren't obvious on a diagram. A billing discrepancy may originate in a switch, a rate deck, or a carrier invoice.

Our team has spent decades working through these challenges—operating networks, managing carriers, integrating acquisitions, migrating switches, and reconciling traffic and charges.

That experience informs both the software we build and the conversations we have with customers.

How we think

Vendor agnostic. We connect to the carriers, vendors, and systems you choose.
Technology agnostic. We work with the switches, billing systems, and CRM you already run.
We complement your infrastructure. Our job is to connect and simplify what you have, not to force a replacement.
Bring your own carrier. We don't resell numbers, minutes, or carrier service. You keep your carriers and your accounts, and each function can be licensed on its own.
